Neuropsychological Assessment
We conduct neuropsychological assessments to assess various issues related to cognitive abilities (i.e., IQ), brain injuries (i.e., TBI), memory deficits (i.e., dementia or Alzheimer’s), and cognitive deficits related to mental health issues.
Neuropsychological or cognitive assessment can provide information on one’s cognitive abilities and how their cognitive strengths and weaknesses may impact daily life. Tests administered may include paper-and-pencil tests as well as computerized tests, across domains of intelligence (IQ), verbal reasoning, working memory, processing speed, and perceptual reasoning.
Psychoeducational testing is often a component of these comprehensive evaluations to identify if there are any discrepancies between one’s potential and their achievement, which is how we diagnose learning disabilities. After testing is complete, you will be provided feedback on the results, how they impact your life, and recommendations to improve your overall functioning and ability to thrive academically and/or professionally.
Assessments can investigate issues related to:
Intelligence (IQ)
Cognitive strengths/weaknesses
Learning Styles and/or Disorders
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD)
Psychiatric Symptoms or mental health
Memory Issues
Many of our clients submit the completed report to obtain academic or standardized testing accommodations (i.e., GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, GRE, or SAT/ACT) to allow them to perform to their full potential.
